Articulation/Dual Enrollment Agreements

UTC has collaboratively developed Articulation and Dual Enrollment Agreements with many post-secondary schools. These agreements provide our students with the opportunity to earn transferable college credits while completing their high school education.

Northern Maine Community College will award a $300 scholarship to any stuent receiving a gold, silver, or brtonze medal in his/her respective CTE-SO for a competition directly related to his/her major at the College. This could be a competition won in the junior or senior year.

Articulation Agreement for the above programs of study:

  • $2,000 credit is based upon the student's academic performance and is applicable toward all qualified high school students. As of the 2009/2010 academic year, the credit is applied to the student's account once enrolled into CDIA.

Terms:

  • Applicant must receive his/her diploma (or equivalency) prior to the commencent of classes at CDIA.
  • Applicant must receive a final grade of B+ or higher in his/her approved "CTE class".
  • Applicant's related "CTE class" must contain portions of their chosen "CDIA Program".
  • This articulation agreement will be honored no longer than one (1) academic year from the applicant's high school graduation date.
  • Applicant must qualify for admission based on a personal interview.

SkillsUSA:

  • $5,000     1st, 2nd or 3rd place winner at Maine SkillsUSA Competition (CTE program area)
  • $5,000     1st, 2nd or 3rd place winner at National SkillsUSA Competition (CTE program area)

*Note:  The above money available is accessed only one time regardless of the number of years the student may place at the State and National competitions.
