Graduate from high school with employability skills related to your educational and career goals
Culinary Arts/Hospitality is not only designed to please the palate, but also teachers you the skills you will take to the hospitality field. You learn all the technical aspects of owning and operating a restaurant. Students learn preparation and presentation of appetizers, salads, soups, desserts, pastries, meats, vegetables, and entrees. Curriculum choices are Food Science, Hospitality, Prostart Level 1 & 2, and Nutrition & Wellness.
The curriculum includes:
– Food planning – Food preparation
– Food presentation – Catering food science
– Menu planning – Customer service
– Hospitality services
Career Paths: Baker, Catering & Banquets Manager, Executive Chef, Food Service Specialist, Hotel / Restaurant Management, Pastry & Specialty Chefs, Restaurant & Food Management
3 high school credits for each year and college credits while still in high school
