Are you interested in having a high paying career that allows you to stay in Maine? Economic demands in industry, particularly in the area of welding, have never been higher. You will work with state-of-the-art equipment and experience current teaching techniques that will assist you to develop skills for structural certification.

Career Paths:  commercial/industrial construction, shipbuilding, bridge & superstructure construction and repair, self-employment, heavy equipment modification, sculpture.

3 high school credits for each year and college credits while still in high school

  • Southern Maine Community College – Introduction to Welding 1; WEL-115  –  3 credits
  • Washington County Community College – OSHA 30 Hour Safety/First Aid/CPR 8 Hour; MET -102  –  3 credits
